How do Orthotics work?
Orthotics provide support to the feet and take the pressure off painful areas. Our custom Orthotics are designed specifically for you and will help you with relieving the pain. They are designed based on an assessment of your symptoms, the shape of your feet, and the way you move. We obtain your complete medical history, get details of your issues and do assessment of your gait and a biomechanical assessment. Once we have all the pertinent information, we get imprints or impressions of your feet and custom make your orthotics.

Types of Orthotics:
Accommodative Orthotics: These are also called “soft orthotics” and are made of soft compression materials. These types of orthotics provide cushioning to take the pressure off uncomfortable or sore spots from conditions such as plantar fasciitis or diabetic foot ulcers.

Functional Orthotics: These are also called “rigid orthotics” and are usually made of plastic or carbon fiber. This kind of orthotic is designed to ease foot aches and strains as well as pain in the legs, thighs, and lower back that you might feel if your foot doesn’t work like it should and are best for walking shoes or closed toe shoes.
